The Dawlish Ale Trail
Arriving by train or bus (seafront stop), head along Marine Parade to the Marine Tavern. Then cross the Teignmouth Road to the Teignmouth Inn.
Round the corner and walk up the Brunswick with The Brook on your right hand side to the Brunswick Arms (you could grab a pasty from Gaye's Creamery on the way).
Continue alongside The Brook to Manor Gardens and cut across right to Old Town Street until you reach The Swan - this is the longest pub free stretch of the trail. Revive yourself at The Swan, and head back along Old Town Street to the Lansdowne.
Then it's round the corner and down Queen Street to the White Hart.
Wander past the shops on the Strand and turn left up Strand Hill, and keep going along High Street to The South Devon.
From there it's a short walk along the High Street and downhill round the corner to The Lafin Pig / Gresham Arms.
Continue down the hill and cross the road into Beach Street to find the Railway Inn, then only a few yards away there's the last on the list, the Exeter Inn. From there you are almost back at the station / sea-front.
The walk itself is very pleasant and will take roughly an hour, walking at a slow pace.
All Dawlish pubs have a warm welcome, some offer food (from bar snacks to restaurant food), and some have bed and breakfast rooms. And all have good beer!
